This is my calculus project. The topic is hidden derivatives, and I chose to make a videogame as an activity.  The game will be available to play in the browser or through download. 

Instructions:

You find yourself in a world where geometric figures have taken over! It's up to you to save the world by beating the various enemies found in this world. It all ends when you defeat the main boss Capsule, who leads the geometric figures!

  • Run into enemies to start battles!
  • You need ENERGY to attack and heal.
  • You get ENERGY by solving hidden derivative problems to conjure energy giving spells.
  • Traverse the world and defeat enemies to gain experience. The farther you go, the more difficult enemies become!
  • If you perish in battle the game restarts, so try your best!
  • Collect such notorious items as "Diamond Boots", "Blue Jeans", "Toast Chest Plate", and "Iron Helmet".
  • Items are used up after battles but leave lingering effects on the player!
  • Reach the end of the map to the defeat Capsule and save the world!!!!

Controls:

  • WASD or Arrow Keys to move
  • Press "m" for map
  • Press "esc" to quit to title
  • Hold "left shift" to sprint

Cheats:

  • Press "L"  to gain 20 levels.


To begin your journey type your name in the Enter Name Box and press play!
